Healthy Candy-Corn Protein Bark

Healthy Candy-Corn Protein Bark cover

If you want the candy-corn look without turning your kitchen into a Halloween candy factory, this one is for you.

It's creamy, crunchy, sweet, and packed with protein — basically a fun little fall treat that still fits into your everyday life.

And yes, it looks like candy corn. No, you do not have to eat actual candy corn to make it.

Instructions

  1. Make the protein base. Mix the Greek yogurt, protein powder, maple syrup or honey, and vanilla until smooth and thick.
  2. Divide the mixture into three portions. Keep one portion white. Mix pumpkin puree into another portion to create the orange layer. For the yellow layer, add a tiny pinch of turmeric or natural yellow food coloring.
  3. Build your candy-corn pattern. Line a small baking sheet or plate with parchment paper. Spread the white mixture into a triangle or rounded candy-corn shape, followed by the orange mixture, then the yellow mixture.
  4. Add your toppings. Sprinkle with nuts, pumpkin seeds, chocolate chips, or whatever makes your heart happy.
  5. Freeze. Freeze for about 2–3 hours, or until completely firm.
  6. Break it apart. Once frozen, break or cut into pieces and enjoy straight from the freezer.

πŸ’ͺ My Gym Girlies

Want to make this more of a protein snack?

  • Use a high-protein Greek yogurt.
  • Add a full scoop of protein powder.
  • Use powdered peanut butter in the base for a peanut-butter version.
  • Add chopped nuts or pumpkin seeds for extra staying power.
  • Pair a few pieces with fruit or another protein source if you're using it as a snack around your workout.

And remember: a fun seasonal treat doesn't have to be "unhealthy" just because it looks like candy. You can build it around foods that actually help you hit your goals.

🌿 My From-Scratch Girlies

This is where we can make it feel a little more like home.

  • Use homemade Greek yogurt or strained whole-milk yogurt.
  • Sweeten it with your own raw honey or homemade maple syrup.
  • Use homemade pumpkin puree from your fall pumpkins.
  • Add homemade vanilla if you've got it.
  • Sprinkle on roasted pumpkin seeds from your own pumpkins.
  • Skip the food coloring and let the pumpkin give you that beautiful orange color.

And if you're making your own yogurt, pumpkin puree, or vanilla? That absolutely counts. You don't need a 100% homemade pantry for your food to be "from scratch."

🌿πŸ’ͺ For Both Girlies

This is exactly the kind of recipe I want in my kitchen.

Because you can be the girl who lifts heavy, wants visible muscle, and cares about protein… and also the girl who wants to make her own yogurt, grow pumpkins, preserve food, and have a cozy pantry.

You don't have to choose. Strong body. Full pantry. Cozy home. πŸ‚πŸ’ͺ🌿
