5-Minute Protein Iced Coffee

5-Minute Protein Iced Coffee cover

Coffee-shop vibes, a little more protein, and made in your own kitchen.

Makes: 1 large iced coffee Prep Time: 5 minutes

I love a good iced coffee, but I don't always want to spend $6 on one—or start my day with a drink that's basically dessert.

This one takes about five minutes, tastes like something I'd happily order at a coffee shop, and gives you a little protein while you're at it.

Ingredients

Make It

  1. Add the cooled coffee, milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon to a blender.
  2. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Fill a glass with ice.
  4. Pour your coffee over the ice.
  5. Add a little splash of cream on top if you're feeling fancy.
  6. Give it a stir and enjoy.

Shortcut: If you don't want to pull out the blender, use a milk frother or shake everything together in a jar. Just make sure your coffee isn't hot if you're shaking it in a sealed container.

My Gym Girlies 💪

If your morning coffee is also part of your protein strategy, this is an easy place to sneak some in without making your coffee taste like a protein shake.

Want more protein? Add a scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder or use a higher-protein Greek yogurt.

Want it lower calorie? Use unsweetened milk and skip the extra sweetener.

Want more carbs before a workout? Keep the maple syrup or honey and pair your coffee with an actual breakfast.

And please don't feel like you have to turn every coffee into a "fitness" food. Sometimes you just want a really good iced coffee. The protein is simply a bonus.

My From-Scratch Girlies 🌿

This one is SO easy to make from scratch.

Use your own cold-brewed or strong-brewed coffee, homemade whole-milk yogurt, local honey, real vanilla, and cinnamon.

If you make your own yogurt, this is also a great way to use up a little extra when you've got a batch in the fridge.

You could even make a little homemade vanilla coffee syrup with real vanilla and sugar for those mornings when you want the full coffee-shop experience without actually leaving the house.

Simple ingredients. Homemade where you can. Nothing wrong with letting convenience fill in the gaps.

For Both Girlies ☕

You don't have to choose between being the girl who wants to build muscle and hit her protein goal and the girl who wants to make yogurt, grow food, and cook from scratch.

Sometimes it's literally just: coffee + homemade yogurt + a little honey + five minutes.

That's the kind of healthy living I love—strong enough to support your goals, simple enough to fit into real life.
